It's fluorescent that have a lot of flicker. There may be some artifact of 60Hz AC current in the LED's, but if there is I don't notice it.

This isn't for ordinary bulbs any more. This is for other things that may be hard or impossible to do with LED, like bug lights.

 

I "got around" the first rules on bulbs by getting halogen, basically regular incandescent bulbs but with a better gas that makes for brighter light and more efficiency. Now I am going slowly to LED in our house.

 

But Obama wanted to disrupt things that won't work well with either of those solutions.
