Was thinking of RST codes that hams use to describe signal…
R = Readability . Scale 1-5 5 strongest
S = Signal strength (off an S-meter) . Scale 1-9 strongest
T = Tone of CW signal only for CW, not voice . Scale 1-9 best/purest 9
Anyway a great voice signal would be 59 or said Five Nine not fifty nine, or 5 by 5
A common voice signal often is 55 or said Five Five or 5 by 5
So 55 in ham radio lingo would mean:
Readability: Perfectly Readable
Strength: Fairly Good Signal
5:5 ??
