To be fair, the Shuttles were very old and a new system is needed. I think Scuttling the Constellation program as a shuttle replacement was more notable.

Oh wasn't meaning to be fair to Hussein, just in general. The Shuttles were on their way out anyway, but the planned replacements were scrapped. Has anyone dug into the reasons the Constellation program was scrapped? I haven't had the chance.
