Don't be alarmed. Military units from the U.S., U.K., Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia are training in the central U.P. and northern Michigan.
In addition to those countries, military members from five U.S. military services from 12 states are participating.
Residents in parts of the U.P. - especially near Sawyer International Airport - may see military aircraft including fighters, cargo planes and helicopters during the exercise.
