A Massachusetts man has been arrested for offering on social media to pay $500 to anyone who would kill an ICE agent.

 

Brandon Ziobrowski, 33, had posted the offer on Twitter last month, telling his more than 400 followers: 'I am broke but will scrounge and literally give $500 to anyone who kills an ICE agent.'

 

He also responded to a tweet about ICE officers putting their 'lives on the line' to make arrests by saying: 'Thank you ICE for putting your lives on the line and hopefully dying I guess so there's less of you?' according to court documents.

 

Law enforcement officials said they hope the arrest of Ziobrowski on Thursday I don'sends the message that they will not tolerate what they described as a 'rising tide' in threats against federal immigration officers and others 'under the guise of political debate'.
