Ugh, really? I thought they were mostly about copying other countries technology and failing clumsingly when it came to create their own technological innovations. Not always, I am very sure the Chinese have a lot of very intelligent and capable people. In my perspective, its the culture and traditions that probably still persist even in the modern "communist" China that do a lot to stiffle and suppress creative thought and creative individuals, down to the micro level of your coworkers or parents telling their kids that their ideas is stupid and they just need to get A++, go to college, become engineer or doctor and be good citizen/communist party person.

If everyone or nearly everyone does that, who the hell is going to think up of new crazy ass ideas and try out new shit?

I wonder if this will ring any bells but doesn anyone remember seeing movies in theaters about kids going through something like this, essentially being taken to a training indoctrination camp where they are brainwashed into slaughtering people, thinking that they are their enemies. I swear there has been several movies in the last decade or so with this theme and plot; taking young kids, throwing them into intense military and psychological brainwashing training very early and then sending them out into the real world with fake identities, allowing them to blend in until the trigger word-go command is sent to them.
