Russian PM Compares Further Anti-Moscow Sanctions to Economic Warfare
Russiaโs Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev warned the United States on Friday that sanctions it plans to impose in August over the ex-spy poisoning would be treated as a declaration of economic war.
Russian Prime Minister said that if some sort of ban on banking activities or currency ban was imposed on Russia โ it would mead a declaration of economic war.
"All I can say is: if they ban banking operations or the use of any currency we will call it a declaration of economic war. And weโll have to respond to it โ economically, politically or in any other way, if need be. Our American friends should make no mistake about it," he said during a trip to the Kamchatka region.

Video: Over 400 ISIS Militants Killed in SDF Operation Near Iraqi Border
The Syrian General Command has deployed more troops, military equipment and artillery pieces in northern Latakia and northwestern Hama over the past few days. According to pro-militant sources, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies are preparing for a military operation that would target Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), Horas al-Din and the Turkistan Islamic Party in northern Latakia, the al-Ghab Plains and near the city of Jisr al-Shugur.
At the same time, sporadic clashes have appeared between militants and government troops in the areas of northern Hama and Latakia. However, no active military actions have been reported.
In eastern al-Suwayda, the SAA reached the area of Suh al-Qasium in the framework of its operation against the remaining ISIS cells in this part of the province. The operation is ongoing.
The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement summing up results of their operation in southern al-Hasakah and eastern Deir Ezzor. According to the statement, the SDF killed 418 ISIS members, including 16 commanders, and captured 29 others.
Additionally, the SDF destroyed 45 vehicles and captured a high number of weapons, including hundreds of light assault rifles and dozens of rockets and mortar rounds. As a result of the operation, the SDF secured 191km of the Syrian-Iraqi border and 71,360km2 near it.
With the liberation of southern Syria, the war has once again entered a relatively quiet phase. Currently, the sides are re-grouping their forces and carrying out active negotiations that would shape the future of the conflict.
If no comprehensive agreement is reached, the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance will once again implement a military option to force militant groups to negotiate a peaceful agreement.

The Latest: Compound incident called anti-Muslim propaganda
TAOS, N.M. โ The Latest on 11 children found living in a filthy, makeshift compound in New Mexico (all times local):
4 p.m.
A representative of a New York mosque says the raid of a ramshackle compound in New Mexico is being used as propaganda against Muslims.
Ali Abdul-Karim Judan, a spokesman for the mosque, said in a video posted Thursday on Facebook that the incident was a domestic situation that has nothing to do with extremism.
The grandfather of a severely disabled boy, who authorities say was kidnapped by his father and taken to the compound, has said remains found there are those of his grandson.
The man is an imam at the New York mosque.
Judan also cast doubt on a contention by prosecutors that children found at the site were being trained to use assault rifles in preparation for school shootings.
He said authorities should not have made that claim without stronger evidence.
The mosque has attracted radicals over the years, including a man who later helped bomb the World Trade Center in 1993.
