Nearly happened to me on the 'set fires' crumb day here on my mountain.
Scared the pants off me.
Took three departments (local and two neighboring towns) to get it circled and hold the lines and weren't able to make any ground till after the sun went down.
Crazy shit.
Praying for them over there, and cheering that fighting spirit! Real Californians.
