In one generation we watched as every major industry was monopolized by corporate cabals. Food, telecomm, media, med and pharma. Rules in place to prevent this were circumvented. Prophets and naysayers were mocked, ignored and laughed at. What we see now is the cumulative effect of said warnings not being heeded. People made money đź’°.

What wasn’t or couldn’t be monopolized was outsourced to foreign companies that took control slowly. The automobile industry for example. It will take longer than even our beloved oresident’s eight years to clean up this shit.

I fookin hate the term “too big to fail” and the stimulus packages were outright treason against the American People, as well as NAFTA.

I am however, forced to understand the complexity of the term. Those in power feel they have given us a great gift. Order. They believe freedom is secondary to order.

Those in Power will not concede that power willingly. Money is power. Mammon.

I know many of you here, as well as myself, believe in a greater power.

Pray

“I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and whats true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness. The dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30-second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), the lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance.

Carl Sagan 1995

What you are saying is true. I feel regressed in interpersonal relationships face to face. Enjoy being a hermit when life permits.

Spent most of my life chasing fast women.

We should have listened, but it literaly habbened overnight. I dont worry about myself much. However I do love this country and worry for our children. What have we left them? How do you think this will all play out anon?

Agreed. Good answer.

I grew up in a metropolis so my disdain for certain strangers is well warranted.

However now I live in a sparsley populated state that is somewhat backward.

Which is good. Very good. But still find myself isolating.

Im hand fucking my phone or computer/games a good portion of my day.

IRL stuff coming up soon which will force re-engagement with people.

Maybe another waifu….

But i deserve to be alone after all the great gals I let slip by chasing harlots.

I dont see children outside anymore, none at the mall, riding bikes, climbing trees..

Nothing.

I pray for them to enjoy being kids again.
