We Happy Few is a first-person game of survival and paranoia set in a retro-futuristic 1964 England. The game follows an alternate World War II in a fictional city named Wellington Wells. Players take control of one of three characters who each seek to escape the city that is now on the verge of societal collapse. After having been forced to do something 'terrible', the citizens of Wellington Wells are now kept under control by a drug known as Joy, and anyone not taking their 'happy pills' could consequently be killed. The game is currently being developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. The game was released on August 10, 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
