I don't disagree that Strzok is a clown…but that is yet to be verified. The documents pointed to showed Strzok to titled a section chief of the counterintelligence unit of the FBI…not the CIA. People saw the word "intelligence" (as well as his communication with the DNI, something which would be normal for an FBI counterintelligence chief), and assumed (and spread) that he was outed as CIA.
The FBI counterintelligence unit has section chiefs. For example:
