Having difficulty reconciling PDJT tariffs on Turkish steel and AL.
The US gets less that 1% (if that, no stats) of imported AL from Turkey, and less than 4% (already down over 56% from last year) of its steel.
Where is this headed?

Maybe. Perhaps to Canada, which is the US' number 1 import resource for both steel and AL.
Funny, we get only 2% of imported steel from China, yet the cost of steel in our industry jumped 25% at the announcement of those tariffs.
The thing is, is that Turkey is no in the top 25 of AL exporters, and it simply does not produce that much. Still not making sense.
