No anon, what I described is a barrel roll, not a loop.
A loop is a vertical 6 to 12 pull up circle maneuver, from straight and level, to inverted at the apex, back to straight and level at the finish.
You also describe a maneuver that "remains horizontal and rolls to 1 side until totally rotated", as being a barrel roll. No, that is an aileron roll.
