Google's Married Chairman Has a New Girlfriend — and Boy Is She His Type
2011
Google's chairman Eric Schmidt has a new girlfriend, who's just like all his other girlfriends. Also in today's Valleywag roundup: Wikipedia's co-founder is burning through his money fast and Twitter will now take bribes for access to the top of your stream.
The Council on Foreign relations communications VP and 45 year old divorced mom is also a former producer for Good Morning America and Primetime Live and ran an internet show on PlumTV.
(((Advertisers you're already following on Twitter can now buy their way to the top of your tweet stream, so they don't get lost in the shuffle of everyone else you follow. Twitter is only selling these spots to a "select group" of advertisers, probably because the transition from overfunded social experiment to actual business can be quite scary.)))

Molinari to head Google's D.C. office
By MIKE ALLEN 02/23/2012 02:15 PM EST
Molinari, a well-liked and well-connected inside player. Her mission is to “help lawmakers and regulators understand Google’s business — both the technology and its impact on the economy and our culture.” (((can we say lobbyist?)))

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is known for its influence on Capitol Hill.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Akin Gump was one of the top law firms contributing to federal candidates during the 2012 election cycle, donating $2.56 million, 66% to Democrats.
Paul Manafort, a central figure in the 2017 Special Counsel investigation, was being represented by Melissa Laurenza, a partner of the firm.[19] Melissa Laurenza's role in the Russian investigation centers from her representation of Manafort. The United States Office of Special Counsel compelled Melissa Laurenza to testify in the case. In October 2017, "New York University law professor Stephen Gillers said the judge was persuaded that there was significant evidence Manafort and Gates had duped their lawyer into sending inaccurate letters to Justice about their lobbying efforts and about what emails might exist about the work."

"We had a terrific relationship with Mueller — the best that I can recall in my 50 years of practice," he said. "It was terrific, completely open, people trusted each other, and we had no misunderstandings."
Dowd said that he often spoken personally with Mueller over the phone and that he and lawyer Jay Sekulow, who is now the top lawyer on Trump's team in the Russia investigation, had often gone together to meet with the special counsel's team.

The prosecutors' office said they intend to call to testify Melissa Laurenza, a private attorney who helped Manafort and his longtime deputy Rick Gates file allegedly misleading foreign lobbying registrations with the Justice Department, as well as individuals from companies Manafort worked with.
It was the also first time prosecutors named Laurenza publicly, though it's been widely known her statements were used to build the case against Manafort. The district's chief judge forced Laurenza to testify before the grand jury last year about Manafort's and Gates' federal lobbying submissions. A spokesman for the law firm where Laurenza works did not immediately reply to a request for comment Wednesday.
But the other witnesses likely will include people who worked for the now-defunct lobbying firm Podesta Group, the consulting firm Mercury Public Affairs and a public relations firm secretly hired to help roll-out a report on Ukrainian politicians prepared by the law firm Skadden Arps as a supposedly independent analysis.
