Plane was a distraction every action it took served to draw attention of cameras and defense F-15s. The plan was ran down to 0 fuel and crashed nose down. This would vaporize most of the plane with minimal explosion or fuel burn.
There was 2 F-15 following the plane but that does not look like them.
