OK so the audio has him saying he's low on fuel. Last i heard was about 2100 pounds. That would go pretty quickly. So just guessing here. If it was remote piloted then that statement would be a set up for the lack of a major fire/ explosion, etc. It plays into the story line very well. Just don't know what the story is yet.

It's just a radio anon. As long as you're within range of ATC and on freq they can hear you. He could have been sitting in downtown Seattle drinking a latte and flying this thing given the right equipment.

I got news for you anon. This remote piloting stuff is done all the time. We take decommissioned fighters, insert the right electronics and they are remotely taxied and piloted out over the Gulf of Mexico for weapons testing. Used to be QF-4's but now they do QF-16s.

Anon I truly have no idea. All I'm saying is that remote piloting is possible. Tech has been around for decades to do this. Is this what happened? I have no idea. We're just digging at possibilities right now. You're asking great questions though! Keep it up!
