Decent people just can't believe it. I guess it's similar to the concentration camps in Germany in WW2 - the majority of the German population found it difficult to believe what was happening in their name - even when US soldiers freed the inmates and photographed their condition, they found it hard to believe.

My generation were witnesses and some of us are still alive to give testimonies. So STFU. You may be able to convince your millennial generation who are so ill educated that they have little knowledge of ancient history and geography and even less of contemporary history (the last 70 yrs) but you won't convince we oldies.

What bothers me is that our generation who spoke to survivors and KNOW will soon be six foot under, and the upcoming generations are being force-fed and are believing lies. What happens when the likes of you and I are gone and can no longer correct the lies?
Indeed, they do. But the truth has become so mangled that it has become difficult for successive generations to discern truth from lies. There are still a few witnesses around, and those who have personal testimonies from firsthand observers, but we are becoming fewer by the day.

Holocaust deniers are doing the world no favours. Likewise, those who exploit the holocaust to manipulate current events are also doing the world no favours.
My generation and the one before will not be around much linger so succeeding generations will no longer have access to first and second hand witnesses.
Be careful what you believe. We KNOW what happened in the Nazi concentration camps - and it should never be repeated. But we're getting close to it today (but on a global scale) with the exploitation, trafficking, and torture of children. There is a connection - please don't become a holocaust denier and thus fail to recognise the connection.
Seems to me you have a problem with understanding the concept of truth.
If I amke a few propositional statements, would you be good enough to agree or disagree, so we can sort this out at a logical lvele.
1) Facts concern existence and events.
2) A person, place or thing either exists or does not exist.
3) Events occur whether witnessed or not. i.e. one may not have witnessed one's conception but one's existence indicates that conception must have occurred.
So may we establish that FACTS concern existence and events whether or not same are witnessed.
Part 2.
What is truth?
Truth is a second order to facts.
Truth is the 100% accurate COMMUNICATION of facts.
Facts can exist apart from their communication (truth) such that, for instance, I may deny the existernce of Australia because I have never personally visited or seen Australia, but that does not alter the fact of the existence of Australia.
Once we begin to understand that truth is about the COMMMUNICATION of facts, not facts themselves, then we can move the debate along to discuss how can we know if fcats gave been accurately communicated.
