Consider that most of our understanding of the concept of Satan is reduced to "don't do bad thing said by bad guy."

Many among these blood lines believe that they are of a higher set of reasoning because their ancestors reduced it to that kind of portrayal in religion to begin with. You must look at "The Hidden Hand" interview to understand the theology behind how they view themselves.

They are born to be the masters of human kind. They are endowed with a unique responsibility to teach us morals and reasoning by presenting choice. Of course... This is a partial truth and specious rationale.

The reality is that all of those within the blood lines have choice, and are not above the humans they were tasked with overseeing.

Someone... Or something... Worked very hard to corrupt the perception of this responsibility to portray it as a 'good' thing. Or to deflect responsibility onto the people being abused. We are to blame for the human trafficking by allowing it to continue. They think themselves above judgment for their decisions.

They are not necessarily worshipping Satan to get ahead. They believe they are the descendants of Satan or - more properly, a sort of collective consciousness of Lucifer tasked with tempering humanity. This is all a sort of game and the suffering carries no lasting consequences as they believe.

There is probably more to it than that - but it's sufficient to say that there was a time when the symbols we see today were not necessarily evil. Just as Adam and Eve had the choice to defy YWH - the Nephilim have the choice to defy the ancient dragon. Eden was a trap... How do you catch a very dangerous animal?

How do you defeat a 'god?'
