NBC Ignores Own Reporter and Crew Assaulted By Antifa in Charlottesville

On the one-year anniversary of the deadly Charlottesville protests, white supremacists and radical leftists known as Antifa descended on the Virginia town once more to commit more violence. Late Saturday night, NBC News reporter Cal Perry and his crew were in the thick of it as Antifa members ganged up on them and attacked. The next morning, NBC’s Sunday Today ignored the attack and suggested the media was simply “heckled” by their assaulters.

On Twitter, Perry was documenting the protesters as they marched through the streets of college town when they started to get “very aggressive with the media” and trying to block their camera shots. “Yeah. We’re getting a lot of this. Protesters trying to grab our camera,” he responded to one Twitter commenter telling him to “f**k off national media vulture.”

he assault on NBC’s reporter came almost a year since their political director, Chuck Todd used his MSNBC program, MTP Daily to elevate Antifa’s violence as a legitimate tactic against the right. He even doubled down and allowed them to use the formerly prestigious Meet the Press as a platform to push their hate and violent methods. Todd has never condemned them.

President Trump drew tremendous criticism from the liberal media when he noted that there was violence in Charlottesville, Virginia “on all sides.” But despite its own hammering of the President, MSNBC brought on a staunch supporter of Antifa during MTP Daily to champion their violent approach to stopping opponents, as they displayed in Charlottesville. Host Chuck Todd, a self-proclaimed political referee, offered little to no push back against his violently radical guest.

The MSNBC host welcomed his guest with open arms, asking: “Mark Bray, you are writing this book Antifa, the Anti-Fascist Handbook. Explain this movement and its roots.”

“So anti-fascism goes back to the beginning of the 20th century when leftists of all stripes fought back against Mussolini and Hitler,” Dartmouth “lecturer” Mark Bray claimed. “The main perspective of Antifa is essentially that rather than simply waiting for the threat to materialize, you stop it from the beginning.” He even admitted that what they did in Charlottesville was try to deny a platform.

CNBC’s Rick Santelli Calls Out NBC’s Chuck Todd for Picking Sides in Election

Sparks flew on the set of NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday morning as CNBC’s Rick Santelli accused moderator Chuck Todd of picking sides during the election. The confrontation occurred during a conversation about Russian meddling in the election and claims that intercepted communications showing their glee for Donald Trump’s victory. “To see Russians happy because Trump won: On election night, I never saw you so unhappy. You pick sides. Everybody picks sides,” exclaimed Santelli, literally pointing fingers at Todd.

Both Todd and correspondent Andrea Mitchell immediately went on the defensive. Todd seemed to play dumb asking, “Who picks sides, Rick? Who picks sides, Rick?” Mitchell’s reaction was rather indignant, claiming, “That’s not true Rick. That’s just not true. Let’s get back to the facts here.”

Agreed, let’s get to the facts such as Mitchell’s adoration for Hillary Clinton. Throughout the campaign Mitchell often played defense for Clinton when it came to her foundation, referring to it as merely a “headache.” She was distraught after FBI Director James Comey reopened their investigation into Clinton’s e-mails, and claimed history was “put on hold again” after her loss to Trump. She also seemed to desperately hope Jill Stein’s recount in swing states would turn things around for Clinton.

Todd’s own bias for the Clinton’s is blatantly obvious as well. In mid-October, WikiLeaks released an e-mail which exposed that Todd and his wife hosted a party in honor of Clinton’s communications director, Jennifer Palmieri in 2015. Todd also whined Trump “publicly humiliated” Bill Clinton, before a debate, by holding a press conference with Bill’s alleged sexual assault victims. And when it comes to facts, he rejected that 96 percent political donations from the press went to Clinton.

NBC Meet the Press host Chuck Todd has a wife who’s active in Democratic Party strategic communications, and sometimes donates to Democrats. In 2012, Kristian Denny Todd contributed $2,500 to Sen. Tim Kaine. Todd never felt any need to disclose this during his three recent Kaine interviews on NBC (August 7, September 18, and October 23).

But Maverick Mail & Strategies, the firm Mrs. Todd founded in 2007 with fellow James Webb aides Steve Jarding and Jessica Vanden Berg, did heavy lifting for openly socialist Bernie Sanders for President this year. Open Secrets shows a bill for $1.992 million made in ten payments to Maverick from January to April. Todd has never disclosed this business relationship in 11 Sanders interviews this year. (If the work began in 2015 before the payments, Todd failed to disclose any tie in six Sanders interviews in the second half of 2015). We didn't even count any Todd interviews with Sanders on MSNBC.

NBC's Todd, Wife Threw 2015 Party For Christian-Bashing Clinton Flack

On Monday, Chuck Ross of The Daily Caller blog spotlighted NBC's Chuck Todd and his wife's apparently cozy relationship with Hillary Clinton's campaign communication director, Jennifer Palmieri. The Todds sent out invitations for a September 2015 event at their house honoring Palmieri and her husband, Jim Lyons. The couple included the Clinton flack's supervisor, campaign chairman John Podesta, as disclosed in one of the e-mails released by Wikileaks. Of course, just days earlier, WikiLeaks published other Podesta e-mails that revealed Palmieri and her associates' low opinions of Catholic and evangelical Christians.

Ross noted in his item that "an invitation for the shindig was sent on July 11, 2015 to John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman.." He also pointed that "Todd's wife, Kristian…was at that time a consultant for former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, one of Hillary Clinton's challengers."

This isn't the first Podesta e-mail that revealed a Todd connection to Palmieri. Earlier in 2015, the Clinton campaign communication director bewailed a supposedly "outrageous" interview that NBC's Cynthia McFadden conducted with Bill Clinton (in reality, it was a softball segment). Palmieri sent an e-mail to her associates underlining that she had "called Chuck Todd (as head of political unit) to let him know how outrageous and ludicrous this was and that our side of the house is watching to see how NBC handles this."

Back in 2014, Palmieri appeared on Todd's MSNBC show at the time, The Daily Rundown, in her previous role as the Obama White House communications director. The host was about to leave to become the host of NBC's Meet the Press, so the guest had some very kind parting words for him [video below]:
