Anyone know about the area? Is it just wilderness or inhabited? just curious.
They haven't had one over 5 in a while. And those are usually down south by the Volcanoes.

And I agree about resource drilling causing EQ's. One just has to look at the recent ones in Kansas & others in the surrounding states.
However, they don't usually cause THAT big of an EQ.
Alaska always has EQ's but they stay around the 2.4-4.0 range.
So that's why this one is a strange one. 6.4 is not the same as a 4.0
Also, Resource drilling quakes don't normally have aftershocks.
This one has had 43 aftershocks so far & still going.
