I to had posted accurate info last night in 2 posts. I lived 30 years in Pierce County and 25 in the cities of Steilacoom/ Dupont.

Ketron Cottage is a cottage facility along with the other 2 named cottages located on the grounds of Western State Hospital.

Ironically the hospital is across from Steilacoom High School (a fact I hated when my child was attending!) These are very tough kids who come to Western State /Cottages. After reading all the information on the board, I understand better why some of these hurting broken children lash out. I believed they have lived a Hell On Earth and being at the Hospital may not fix, ease or contain the problem. It is on the border of Steilacoom/Lakewood . The access to Ketron Island by personal watercraft is so close that no one would even notice. Most of the Islanders from Anderson and Ketron use their own boats due to the inconvenient Ferry Schedule. They maintain their own personal vehicles on the Steilacoom Mainland.
