Strikes me that the whole episode is something like a fake bomb run during an air display or film stunt scene.
Plenty of distraction through the aerobatics of the three planes & noise of the two F-15s in full burner scramble.
No visible wreckage at the crash site, which looks too small too.
Smoke & explosion & F-15s could've provided plenty of distraction to allow the Q400 to slip away unseen.
Ketron Island is only a short distance 4-5 miles from McChord.
The Q400 could've landed and parked discretely in or behind the hangars within a couple of minutes.
The manoeuvres by the Q400 looked pretty crisp for a non-pilot.
Voice was way too calm with no audible cockpit noises like alarm bells & horns etc.
My guess was it was a pro-pilot with somebody using a hand-held or fixed ground radio 'playing pilot' whilst the pro-pilot kept radio silent.
It seems to me that people saw and reported what they were supposed or meant to see or as it was scripted. Perhaps it was a demo to prove how people were manipulated during 9/11?
