FYI - Texas Video about Human Trafficking

(anyone wondering about the site, TYLA is the Texas Young Lawyers Association)

https://www.tyla.org/tyla/index.cfm/projects/slavery-out-of-the-shadows-spotlight-on-human-trafficking/

I think it is a recent film coming out of Texas and that most of the people interviewed are white hats. They are looking to educate people about the warning signs of human trafficking, definitely something we should all try to be aware of.

The movie starts with a little red building which looked delapidated and the lady walks into it and shows how behind it are rows upon rows of wooden stalls (almost like a barn except I don't even know if they had roofs over them) and each one had a bed in it for sex trafficking.

This is worth watching if you want more of a background on sex trafficking to better know how to see what is going on. I think it's sickening that this sort of thing still happens in this country.

"Trafficking is often mistaken as solely an international problem, but the number of American children at risk of trafficking is ten times higher than the 18,000 international victims trafficked across U.S. borders each year."

"Branding is common among traffickers."

The girls often have tattoos that say 'Daddy' because that's what the pimps want the girls to call them. (showed images of tattoos that say 'daddy's girl')

The TYLA site has some additional videos and I thought it was interesting that they mentioned labor trafficking as well as sex trafficking.
