What this young, ignorant gal doesn't realize is that a high school dropout from the 1950's, 60's and 70's has a much better education and moral grounding than the majority of degreed graduates today. And many learned to shoot at school.
Now, most of us country boys stayed the course in school, had our shotguns, rifles and/or pistols and bows in our trunks for whatever hunting was in season. A lot of the teachers and coaches did, also. Turkey shoots were serious business and dove shoots were quite the social event.
I graduated high school, furthered my education in the US Army and then the Air Force and have been in a constant "Self Education" program for over 30 years. I do not have a degree due to having no desire whatsoever and refuse to attend any sort of sociology course. Other wise, the Masters in Aeronautical Engineering and BS in Military Science would be complete.
So, This "Uneducated Redneck", and quite a few of my buddies, could take the bows out of this chicks hair at 300 yards. 400 on a good day. She needs to think twice about who she lays her hands on. She might just draw back a nub.
