I would imagine we get a strong, technologically advanced ally in a crucial region of the world. Israel’s military is ranked higher than some European nations. We’ve sold them war planes that were stripped of American technology because they wanted to install their own, more advanced systems.
We pay almost every nation on earth in one way or another. Why should Israel be any different? Logically, Israel is a much needed ally in a crucially strategic location with capabilities that outstrip some of our traditionally stronger allies. It just makes good sense. Beyond that, I don’t know what to tell you.
