i get it ; its not meant to be bad. or mocking.. I dont remember the 3rd part of Humanities too well but thats an attempt at surrealism.
1st I would call it something like "ascendance chained"
Chain links heavily down to her or a persons faith… the lines are associations linking to principle thoughts that make up the person, and that all links back to the head; the head is cut off, and has an eye forced open with the pyramid, checkered; what do anons think?
2nd more theme of being chained; the persona behind the body? the driver of the vehicle? you stare at a face, the person of the soul, and inside they feel chained; notice also the use of an inkblot used in psych tests; very clever theme.
youll notice the person chained(the feelings) of the person over the soul is good naturalist art; so this person developed their talent fully before exploring it; some people and some professors just cop out and glue sticks together, make up some con about how great it is, getting promoted while making fun of people with real talent, because they dont have any.
3rd more abstract symbolism.
Clock hands corresponding to square pivoted at degrees and marked… all this overlayed with skin and plants… My first thought was something about establishing a system for meaning, but thats me projecting myself into the art….
