Two US Navy reconnaissance aircraft P3 Orion flying over Pacific Northwest coastal area, from Portland to Seattle.

 

The Lockheed P-3 Orion is a four-engine turboprop anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft developed for the United States Navy … easily distinguished from the Electra by its distinctive tail stinger or "MAD Boom", used for the magnetic detection of submarines.

P-3C BMUP {Update III Block Modification Upgrade Program} (US): 25 aircraft with interior modification to convert selected NUD/SUDS, UD2/SUDS and UD2.5/SUDS to carry ASQ-227 mission computer and ASQ-78B acoustics suite

We see P3s and P8 every single day on both coasts and sometimes inland.

 

Pic 1 was observed 13 hours ago, for example.

Pic 2 was also 13 hours ago, and is the inventory of what we could see in the reconaissance category over the entire CONUS.

I'm glad you posted that! It went by me real fast earlier and I was hoping for a chance to actually read it, not merely make a mental note of the title. Here I go….. (Anons said it would be a way to get rid of SES; I can't comment til I read it.)
