Could be a WWII AA site, especially with a naval base nearby (assume it was there at that time).

Can't find any sauce on that, a few places in the puget sound area but then search results get skewed by recent events kek.

A lot of AA sites aren't usually considered notable anyway, we occasionally uncover some here and people go "oh yeah, that's right". It's mostly the big stuff that is notable, forts, sub pens, etc.

Fjiordland. I read a small spy novel decades ago about a secret sub base or something there. Can't remember the name now, or what it was about really.

But I think the sub pen was under the water line some distance.
