In the air already solves that little dilemma. We planefags rarely see fighter jets over CONUS. I've seen maybe 2-3 in the past week, at most. (Or they don't let us see them … hard to cap because they disappear off radar quickly.) The ones I've spotted have been inland over upper midwest or TX, mainly.
