Wonder how C_A communicates with their submarines….

In old days USA military used ELF, extra low frequency … like 30-40 Hz … to enable communications under sea.

That required a huge (and I mean huge) grid array, which was in those days like 55 miles on a side with power (very high power) transmitters at approx 11 mile cross over points… just curious - could be easily shut down if still using this frequency range today.
