See, I disagree with this enthusiastically. 9/11 was a hell of a shock. People had no idea, no frame of reference, no possible way to prepare. Yet millions watched it unfold live on TV. Were people sent to the hospital because they could not deal with it? No. Instead we pulled together as a nation like we may never see again.
Infantilizing millions, saying they're too fragile to understand something everyone here seems to grasp just fine is not just wrong, it is insulting, imho.
