We had some "pilot program" at my elementary school in 1985. It was in my principal's office, in a sub office, and nobody else could go in there, except me and a couple other kids. I was actually given a key, and even secretary didn't have one. I didn't think much of it at the time.
All I know is I was on the internet after that next in 1995, and whatever we had in that po' dunk school, there was nothing like it until I first got digital in early 2001. And they only had it that one year, and it was ONLY 3 of us from the school, and no other kid in town, or teacher (Small town, and I asked for 20+ years) had ever heard of it at all.
