Definitely believe that one. I noticed a while back, if when I am home I leave my phone on over night but not plugged in to charge, the battery level in the morning is still charged quite high. Can go for longer than a day (30+hrs) that way.

HOWEVER: when I go camping in an area that is a complete dead zone for cell service, even in full airplane mode, EVEN WHEN I TURN THE PHONE OFF TO SAVE BATTERY CHARGE, the battery charge will go from near full to completely dead in under 8 hours. I think my phone, even when turned off is trying to broadcast and pick up signal… no other explanation I can think of for having a battery drain even when turned off.
