The Clintons' history with the world's first black republic dates back to their 1975 honeymoon, when they met a voodoo priest and visited a hotel where Ernest Hemingway once stayed.

Theory:

Bill saw the Bond flick “Live and Let Die” in 1973 and fancied himself a dashing American James Bond and Hill-dog as his (gag) romantic lead (pic related)-sexy lady and big snakes

He went to the island of Haiti a few years later in 1975– probably with the specific purpose of learning more about Voodoo because he had just lost an election and needed some Mojo to win the Attorney General race—at that point they both mutually sold their souls to the devil after witnessing the power of the devil in the ritual they experienced and subsequently WJC won the Attorney General race–the rest is history.
