Q team, my right to vote per my choice in my state's upcoming primary is being violated. I live in a deep blue state, totally corrupted. I used to be registered as Democrat until I walked away after the primaries for the General Election in 2016. Two weeks ago I checked my voter registration online and found I was still affiliated with the DEM party. THAT is NOT happening. So I updated to "Unaffiliated".

My local canvassing authority within a week sent me my updated Voter Information Card, but included a letter that stated my change of affiliation did not meet the deadline requirements, therefore, in the upcoming primary, if I want to vote, I will ONLY BE ALLOWED TO VOTE DEMOCRAT, and will NOT be able to vote based on my personal choice. !!

This is UNFAIR and should be ILLEGAL. If the local canvassing authority can process my voter information in time to send me an updated Voter Information Card, and if my online voting information reflects my change, then I should be allowed to vote PER MY CHOICE in the primary. This deadline stuff should be ILLEGAL.

What can I do? Local and state are telling me the same story.
