Tesla Whistleblower Releases VIN Numbers Of Model 3s With Punctured Battery Modules

 

One month ago, we reported that Martin Tripp - the former Tesla engineer who on June 20 was sued by Tesla for allegedly trying to "sabotage" the company - and who subsequently turned out to be a whistleblower who was fired in retaliation for his disclosures, was alleging several egregious safety violations that, if true, would likely destroy what remains of Musk's tattered credibility, which the SEC is currently subpoenaing.

 

As part of his now public whistleblowing effort to bring attention to glaring lapses in Tesla's safety and quality control process, Tripp alleged that Tesla made misstatements to investors about placing batteries with puncture holes into vehicles which proceeded to the end of the assembly line - a process known internally at Tesla as “Containment AR622” -to help pad out its Model 3 production numbers in pursuit of Musk's goal of producing 5,000 Model 3s a week.

 

Tripp made some other striking accusations, among which that Tesla:

 

Overstated to investors the number of Model 3 vehicles being produced each week by as much as 44%. The whistelblower alleges that the famed factory board which reflects a daily Model 3 production count and often referred to by Tesla is inflated;

Lowered vehicle specifications impacting upon safety such as placing battery cells too close to one another and which were not properly affixed, risking future combustion; and

Systematically reused parts already deemed scrap/waste in vehicles without regard to safety.

 

He also accused Tesla of placing battery cells too close together and not properly securing them, raising the risk of future combustion, as well as "systematically" reusing parts that had been deemed to be scrap or waste.

 

A few days after Tripp's allegations emerged,we reported that in a surprising public address on Twitter, Stuart Meissner, who was retained as Tripp's counsel to defend against Tesla's lawsuit against him and to countersue, tweeted in response to a Forbes article "Will Tesla Be 'Tripp'ed' Up By A Whistleblower", that it was "time for the @SEC_Enforcement to act. Not an accident @elonmusk has been silent on the allegations. Let sunshine be the cleanser for $TSLA"

 

Well, with Musk doing most of Tripp's work for him, and now that the SEC is investigating Tesla for an entirely different matter altogether, namely Musk's seemingly fraudulent tweet that he had "secured funding" to take Tesla private, just after 5pm EDT, on his twitter account, Martin Tripp tweeted "are you ready"…

Fake intercept? Russian MoD dismisses UK claims of chasing off six Su-24 bombers over Black Sea

 

Russia has denied British claims that the Royal Air Force intercepted six Russian military jets over the Black Sea, saying the incident was a lot less dramatic and didn’t feature a single Su-24 bomber mentioned in the reports.

 

Four aircraft from the Russian Black Sea Fleet naval aviation group carried out routine exercises above the Black Sea on Monday, the Defense Ministry spokesman told TASS, specifying that there were no Su-24 bombers in the group at all.

 

“After completing their flight task in the assigned area the Russian planes spotted a military aircraft of one of the NATO countries at the distance of 30 kilometers,” he said.

 

The NATO plane “didn’t make any maneuvers; didn’t deviate from its course and didn’t approach the Russian aircraft, which were heading back to base,” the spokesman added.

 

Meanwhile, the British account of Monday’s events looked more like a script for the ‘Top Gun’ reboot. The RAF announced that its Typhoons intercepted six Russian Su-24 bombers close to NATO airspace over the Black Sea on August 13 and forced them to turn back.

 

The jets, which took off from a Romanian airbase, helped “deter Russian aggression, reassure our friends in Romania, and assure NATO allies of our commitment to collective defense,” the RAF statement said.

 

It’s not the first time the UK has claimed to intercept Russian military aircraft in the area. In late July, it said that two Typhoons were scrambled after a Su-24 was discovered near the NATO airspace. The British jets also reportedly responded to a Russian Il-20 aircraft above the Black Sea in May.

 

The Royal Air Force has been present in Romania since 2014 as part of NATO’s so-called Assurance Measures activities. The US-led block has been boosting its presence in Eastern Europe and the Baltics in recent years under the pretext of the “Russian threat.” Moscow has repeatedly denied that it has any aggressive plans towards its neighbors and warned that NATO’s moves jeopardized European security.

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lauded the efforts of an 11-year-old girl who decided to protest by kneeling for the Pledge of Allegiance.

What are the details?

 

According to a May report by the Washington Post, 11-year-old Mariana Taylor — a student at Catonsville Middle School in Baltimore County, Maryland — was inspired by the kneeling actions of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and decided to kneel — during her class’s Pledge of Allegiance.

 

The outlet reported that Mariana did this in school twice, and on her third pass, a teacher reportedly told her that she was violating school rules.

 

Mariana told her parents, who ended up involving Maryland’s branch of the American Civil Liberties Union. After the story reached notoriety, Mariana’s appearance at a school board meeting, discussing her alleged experience, was featured in a video from NowThis.

 

According to the report, Mariana’s teacher said that she should stand to honor the positivity of America, and told the child that she had family overseas serving in the military, noting that the student was being disrespectful.

 

“I left the classroom in tears,” Mariana said in the video. “It is in my rights that I am allowed to kneel.”

What did a school district spokesperson say?

 

Despite Mariana’s assertation, a spokesperson for the Baltimore County Public Schools denied knowledge of any teachers who reprimanded or punished a child for kneeling during the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

“We know of no [Baltimore County Public Schools] student who has been reprimanded or punished for nonparticipation in patriotic observances,” a spokesperson said. “We fully support students’ rights and encourage student voice as articulated in board policy.”

 

When did Hillary Clinton see the video?

 

The video went viral and caught the attention of Clinton, who applauded Mariana’s efforts.

 

Clinton shared the clip on her Twitter account on Wednesday, and wrote, “It takes courage to exercise your right to protest injustice, especially when you’re 11! Keep up the good work Mariana.”
