The pendant can mean whatever you want it to. Wearing is signifies you are trusting it will be true; whatever it is. It's not just a wedding necklace.
Example:
If you wore that pendant, and the inscription/depiction was something like a dollar bill, it's signify you hope to rich/wealthy. Get it?
