Anon…In basic training, when members of your company fell out of the run, at least in MY company, we would loop back and push them forward.

 

Guess who HAD to do that?? The people out front LEADING THE WAY. We looped back, and helped lift our comrades up so we can be at full speed. TOGETHER. We're going to flip as many as we can to our side, and it's up to US, As leaders to "loop back."

Unfucking real. You know I was 7-15 during their hay day. and part of what made them SO great?? The fact that older folks, mostly WWII generation folks, based, were TRULY upset by them.

They honest to God, and these were simple people that raised me, no bullshit like nowadays, that it was mesmerizing (Key word I think) and that it just blew everyone's mind, and it was all the whole town could talk about, and that people "changed" after that in odd ways. The way it grabbed the complete narrative in the middle of nowhere Nebraska and Wyoming in what, 1939, was startling to them.

 

That said, back in the day before VCR's, when it was played on TV, usually in my area right before school started if I remember right, they watched it every year, locked in.

 

Some other Anons have done some AMAZING breakdowns on the movie and it's relation to the Fed and all this shit. 30K caps+ so far, or I'd dig it out. It's a FASCINATING topic.
