In Stephen King's Dark Tower series, the Walking Dude (R.F.) left each one in the group a pair of fine handmade red shoes to put on before they could enter the "emerald city" and speak with him. Dorothy reference or is this and Dorothy's shoes a reference to something else that Stephen knows about? The bad guys in this series share some similarities with things that we have been digging it seems. Or is it only me that sees this?
