Rust stains. I doubt they leave any blood after these rituals.
The other possibility is that it is oxidized iron from blood that stained the grout in between the tiles and they pass it off as rust. I just cant see why they would leave any evidence of blood there for a picture.
Minerals from the water? I know unlikely and there is kind of too much of it to justify that explanation.
That's why I thought the iron from many peoples blood being exposed to oxygen over time would of caused that.
