The wet swampiness it might represent tons of gore blood flesh etc. See the snake to the left of her foot in the first image, in art the snake is a symbol for Lucifer. Also I think the mirror effect can be applied so if they look alive, well fed, clean, fully clothed and not bound then the reverse is the truth.

I think the artist is trying the show the pain the real kids were in through expression in the hands…..kids hands are soft and frail but frantic in agony they are distorted showing pain.

I personally think they CREATED the symbolism. That way we’d all have a way to worship whatever culture/country we are born in. You automatically get thrown into specific religious groups depending on where you live/ specially 3rd world or more undeveloped countries. You rarely see Jews in South America or Haiti for example. Mostly Catholics/Christians so you cater symbolism to regions.
Licoferianism goes way way way back- if they were our first true religion, they also created symbols for everything.. false idols to distract us from God.

Does it matter if symbols were hijacked or not? The point is that God didn’t say that the cross was his symbols specifically.. nor the Star of David.. nor a specific religion. God is not held up by religion but by truth. Religions are not needed to find God, symbols are not needed to find God. The Pope isn’t needed. The Catholic Church believes he is appointed by God.. look at Francis. You don’t believe he was appointed by God, do you? Neither was the last pope.. or the last.. because the bishops vote for them. They all nominate peers based on how selfless and humble they are. Supposedly. If these bishops nominated Francis and got him either they don’t know him well enough (which I doubt) or they are also evil.. either way- it wasn’t God who appointed him.

We all agree on symbols just being symbols, correct? To religious people/ they identify specific objects and or religions with God. Religions isn’t needed for there to be God or for us to find God. Worshipping a false idol is wrong isn’t it? When you pray to a cross or use a rosary to pray.. you’re using those items to represent a connection to God. This is what worshipping a false idol means. If you wear a symbol that represents religion around your neck- you might as well wear an upside down cross. It all goes to the same place. You go through I a temple? You’re going to a luciferian temple. You go to church? That’s a luciferian Church. Look at what Q reference way back when..
