Was trying to remember what Vanderbilt's necklace reminded me of, as well as the diamond patterns in the pool tile.

They seem to resemble of tabernacle (where the eucharist is kept)

and a chalice (used for the transubstantiation/consecration of wine and eucharist).

Anyway - just things that popped up in the brain.

Thanks for re-posting, Anon! Your thoughts on the artist make a lot of sense, also.

It seems entirely possible that the victims are intentionally made to do terrible things to other victims.

I mean, kids take everything (EVERYTHING) very personally and feel shame when others hurt them, etc. So, what better way to ensure silence and compliance than to make them do horrible things to others?

Gah.

Weird thought:

What if it's less about hatred of children and a type of documentation of experiences? What if this artist's work resonates with the Podestas, because they have the same sort of memories?

Because, honestly, there is no reason to suppose they weren't not victims as children, themselves.
