I live nearby the Biltmore house, Ive been several times. I cant say that I was looking for symbolism when I visited, but I did notice things.

For instance, the house has a large number of Gargoyles on it. The gargoyles are said to be "to keep demons, and evil spirits away."

Also, of course, i have seen the pool. It is a very eerie room, and although there is not anything that proves child abuse took place there, it isnt hard to believe.

Furthermore, theEstate is huge (several thousand acres), there are entire buildings and secret rooms on the Estate that are never opened to the public, and most are not even known about by the employees let alone the general public. Anything could be in those buildings.
