I was just wondering why it was mentioned. The reference just seemed to hang in mid-air. Q has also referred to the term "APACHE" on a single line with no evident frame of reference.

I've used it. That's why I know the humor behind the name. I also know that it is neither the fastest nor the most secure. BUT it works well enough and has LOTS of knobs to twist and buttons to push.

I was using it for both static and dynamic pages alongside Postfix back when AOL open-sourced their server.
