But God doesn't "use" people in the way that you are implying - as if God controls people I mean. With God, you have freedom of will and that will NEVER be taken away from you.
You have a choice what to decide for your own life. Just as they did. However, some choose to go the evil route. That is their choice, which is good news because then you know it is possible to choose God instead. Some did choose God and were saved, others didn't.
