An American Airlines flight carrying International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde made an emergency landing in Argentina shortly after taking off from Buenos Aires' Ezeiza airport on Sunday, Reuters reported, citing local media outlets.
According to Reuters, the flight, which was destined for the United States, experienced a drop in cabin pressure about 200 km (124 miles) north of the Argentine capital and returned to Ezeiza airport to land.
Christine Lagarde had been in Argentina over the weekend for the G20 meeting of finance ministers.

IMF's Lagarde: Joint Eurozone Budget Should Be Conditional
Lagarde's arrival in the Argentine capital was reportedly greeted with a howl of protests against the IMF's presence in the country and a recently adopted IMF loan for Argentina worth $50 billion. The demonstrators argue that the loan will cause the country's authorities to proceed with the government's adjustment policies, a further reduction in public expenditures, thus triggering more dismissals in both the public and private sector.
However, Lagarde said that the country's targets for the annual inflation rate were achievable, while noting Argentina's progress in tax matters.
FWIW, a Google search made from most time zones, as far as I know, will return results from Sputnik.

Peru's Transportation Ministry said that a LATAM Airlines passenger plane en route from Lima to Santiago, Chile was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport in Peru due to a bomb threat.
"Today at 12:48, the Radar Control Center of Peru received a call from its counterparts in Chile, saying they had received a bomb threat concerning Latam Flight LA 2369," the statement read.
The ministry said the crew had decided to divert the plane to the small Peruvian port city of Pisco. It landed at 13:54.
Passengers were not hurt and the aircraft was not damaged, Peruvian authorities said, without commenting on the bomb threat. They said the situation was under control. Passengers were taken to Lima to continue their trip.
