Then you spent $30.
Using your logic, a budget increase of 50% would actually be cutting it in half, and an increase of 100% would be not changing it at all.

So then going over a $12 million budget by 666% would be going over it by $79.92 million.
$12 million (initial budget) + $79.92 million (666% overage) = $91.92 million total
