Q could you further clear this up. Some people I have a great deal of respect for are divided on the linking of ES (@Snowden) to Google in that particular context.
If this all these abuses took place under Bush/Obama's administration, Snowden couldn't go to the elected officials to oust the unelected leaders of the alphabet agencies. He did use Julian Assange, but that's not going to give him much protection. What other global power could protect Snowden from the US, that wasn't under the control of C_A clowns? Russia would be my first choice. I don't see Snowden as a blackhat, it just doesn't fit logically in my mind. If he's a blackhat, why go public with the NSA tools that were being used to further the DS plans? If he couldn't fix the problem, and he couldn't go to the president, DOJ, upper level members of Congress, DNI, FBI, C_A, etc….he gave the info to the people, to hold them accountable. Realizing that we have no idea how to organize against a well funded, well armed, well organized network; it's likely that he went to Russia for help. If the BS they've fed us about NK for 60 years is false, it's likely that the same BS about Russia for the past 30 years is false. I know from several friends that grew up in various parts of Russia, they were missionary kids, the majority of people in Russia approve of Putin much like we do of Trump. Here's to hoping Snowden is a true patriot and not a blackhat double agent.
