July 13, 2011: An email forwarded to Clinton apparently details how a terrorist attack on the water supply to New York City could succeed.

Simon Stringer is the CEO of Becatech Ltd., a company that specializes in securing water supplies from terrorist attacks. Stringer sends an email to State Department official Marty Torrey, who has asked him some security questions. The vast majority of Stringer’s two-page reply will later be redacted, and according to classification coding, it contains information that could “endanger life or physical safety of any individual.”
Several sentences that remain indicate he is talking about a hypothetical terrorist attack on New York City, and that unless preventative action is taken, the US could potentially lose “significant numbers of people.”
