Hillary's email buddies
Dozens of personal and professional contacts emailed with Clinton through her controversial private account.
From an old childhood friend to top State Department officials to a former president, Hillary Clinton corresponded with dozens of private and official contacts through her personal email address while at Foggy Bottom. While the revelation earlier this year that Clinton exclusively used a private account set off a firestorm, apparently an extensive list of contacts had some awareness of the "clintonemail.com" address, appearing to contradict some public statements.
Former top Obama adviser David Axelrod, who wrote to Clinton at her private address, for example, has said that he did not know about Clinton maintaining the account through a private server from her Chappaqua, New York, residence. “I might have asked a few questions about it,” Axelrod said in an interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” last month. In an interview with MSNBC on Wednesday, Axelrod said he didn't know that Clinton used the account exclusively or that she had her own server. Here is a list, while by no means exhaustive, offering a peek into Clinton’s interactions during her first year as secretary of state, if not merely a survey of those who were trusted with her private address.
